“Our skipper took us to see the Coral Garden of Raiatea….a real adventure… He had us walk for 10 minutes. I could see him in the distance waving for us to join him. He masters his universe but for me it was something else….but my imagination was racing ahead. I am a mountain person and for me the sea was always a world of dangerous beasts and sharp rocks waiting to lacerate us…
But it was very worthwhile…
Once we got to our destination, we had only one thing to do – get into the water with our flippers on, mask and snorkel and let ourselves float off on the current while appreciating the spectacle in front of our eyes: a multitude of multi-colored fish swimming around corals that were no less colorful.”
